Has anyone had luck hydration dried white blood cells from a cotton substrate. I have been using low dilutions of tween 20 in PBS to float of and rehydrate the cells. I incubate the blood stain in this mix for 20 min, spin down the cells, smear/air dry the sample, then stain with H and E. I have been getting blue colored cell but they seem fractionated or dehydrated still.
