Proteasome activity assay

Hi!

I want to find out if expression of my GOI affects proteasome activity in a mammalian cell line. I see a variety of kits and protocols for measuring proteasome activity. I was wondering if anyone working with the proteasome could provide a recommendation for a protocol or kit for measuring proteasome activity. I was thinking of trying the Cell-Based Proteasome-Glo kit from promega for starters, but am also debating between doing a native gel and using a fluorgenic substrate. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
