BioLogic LP syncing problem

I have a problem with the Biologic LP system connected to the Biofrac model 2128 with valve cables connected. Every time I begin a run on the Biologic LP system connected with the model 2128 Biofrac, which is set to LP/Econo, the fraction size on the Biologic LP system display will begin to decrease without any sample being collected into the test tubes of the Biofrac.
To illustrate, once the program I created on the Biologic LP system starts, the fraction size will decrease before any fractions of my sample have even been collected in the test tubes of the Biofrac. Is there an option in the setup I am missing? For example, an option that will only decrease the fraction size when the sample leaves the "collect" tubing from the diverter into a test tube?
